Strawberry-mango frozen marguerita, chips with spinach & artichoke dip, cajun lime tilapia, sizzling apple pie, dreamsicle cake.. Does that sound like i'm trying to gain some weight? hahahaa... i'm so full right now.. Can you tell??!! :-P

Thank you Lord for everything.. I'm drowned in Your blessings, awed by Your provision, and overwhelmed by Your grace. I will continue to testify Your wonderful love and deeds as long as I live. May all glory be to You!

Yes.. I will be given the opportunity to defend my 2-week long written doctoral comprehensive exam that I took over the summer (June 19-30). I looked through the document this morning and found spots that can be corrected, expanded, and elaborated. Gotta investigate more on my analysis, theoretical concepts, and keyboard literature. Study study study...

Next Friday will be a major landmark in my academic career. Semoga bisa 'ngobrol2' dengan lancar dengan para guru selama 3 jam hehehehhee... di-sidang bok!!!

Farewell Brother..

People come and go in our life; some left strong imprints, some are easily forgotten.
Today is a special Sunday in our church; the worship team was in front and our dearest brother Peter Li was serving with us on his last Sunday worship in Morgantown.

Peter Li... a brother in Christ who has left a strong impact in us.

At school, he is known as the associate Dean of the International student office in WVU. He's the guy you need to deal with if you have any problem with your I-20, and he's also the guy who will protect you if you are questioned by the FBI regarding you immigration status.
At church, he is a deacon, spiritual elder, Sunday worship administrator, song leader, usher, the cook, the joker, and the crowd pleaser. For me, he is a partner (in worship department), co-worker (in fellowship ministries), music-making buddy, pingpong partner/opponent, the best wanton noodle cook, somebody i can call if there's an emergency...

Today we acknowledge, honor, and bless our brother during the service. Peter is going back to Hong Kong to serve in his almamater, Hong Kong Baptist University, after serving in WVU for 18 years in Morgantown. All of the deacons and elders came out to lay hands on him and pray for him. It is hard to let go of somebody that has shared many years of tears and laughter with us. We will definitely miss him tremendously.. but we all know that God has a better plan for him, his career, and his future in HK.

May the LORD bless you and keep you..
Farewell brother..

Let's kick it up a notch!!

The semester is rolling and the pressure is on.
Guess what, the date is set for my next solo recital: October 31 it is!
Kalo di-itung2, tinggal 8 minggu sampe hari H.. belon lagi dipotong 3 minggu, October 11 for the hearing. Yah beginilah tradisinya. Basically sebelon doctoral recital, committee member harus 'sensor' apakah kita udah siap dan layak buat kasih recital. Kalo hearing ngga lewat... yah, tunggu beberapa bulan lagi deh. Nasibb!!

Beberapa langkah serius sudah diambil demi menjamin terlaksananya recital kali ini, i.e. I've made my own lesson plan for every single piano lesson: basically i have to have a movement of music memorized every time I go for my lesson until hearing day!

Here's my recital program:
Beethoven Sonata (4 mvt)
Schumann Papillon (13 short mvt)
Gianneo Suite (3 mvt)
Granados Goyescas (2 mvt)

Fiuuhhh... banyaknyaaaaa!!!
No matter what, i gotta press on and make this recital happen if i really want to graduate on time next May. There's no time to waste, no weekend to slumber.. hihihihi.. (i gotta put those Korean dramas aside for while).

Gua yakin teman2 yg laen yg masih berstatus pelajar pasti punya target dan harapan masing2 di semester ini. Continue to keep each other in prayer and let's kick it up a notch!
